Make an uber eco-friendly wardrobe essential with this gorgeous skinny style scarf made in recycled banana yarn.

Made in this ethically produced, handspun slubby thick yarn it delivers a really beautiful boho style that can be worn in many different ways.

You can add a fringe and beads to really up the boho look.

Level: Easy.
Knowledge of how to do foundation double crochet (UK ftr) - it is explained in the pattern, along with basic crochet stitches is needed.

Recycled Banana yarn is soft and silky with a slightly heavy feel to it. This makes this scarf feel lovely to wear both for a touch of glamour and for warmth. There are various sellers of this kind of yarn and they’re all made by women’s co-operatives in very poor communities so in buying this yarn you really do make a difference.

It can be a little tricky to work with as it is uneven in thickness throughout the skeins as is recycled silk yarn (an alternative choice).

if you don’t want to use this kind of yarn, you could possibly substitute with any yarn (held double if needed) that meets gauge. But te overall look will be a little different without the texture.
