A good pattern for beginners, this is a 4’ or 5’ long skinny scarf, knit from 1 or 2 hanks of heavy worsted weight yarn. It is knit from side to side.

Gauge: For this scarf, gauge is flexible because the sections repeat, and you’ll knit until you reach the desired length.

Materials Needed:
1 Hank Scarf: 180 yards heavy worsted weight yarn such as Olive & Two Ewe’s Thoreau or Hemingway yarn
2 Hank Scarf: 360 yards heavy worsted weight yarn

Size 8 Needles, straight or 14” circular (14” is approximate, but this is a skinny scarf, so a longer cable may be cumbersome).
