skittle set
This is a fairly simple, quick pattern that makes skittles standing about 6.5 inches (16 cm) high and a ball about 2.5 inches (6 cm ) in diameter. Provided you know your basic stitches this could be made by a beginner.
Please note that I use English crochet terms. The yardage given above is per skittle, but 100 grammes of yarn should make a complete set.
There is no need to worry about gauge for this and you can make as many skittles as you like using up all your leftovers of DK yarn. This is a fun, indoor game for toddlers and just the right size for little hands.
You will also need some stuffing and a darning needle.
You can make animal skittles by using the heads given in my Leggy Menagerie pattern with the main body of the skittle as the stitch numbers match up.
