This is a pattern that works both for crocheting and knitting. The demo versions of the Skittles case were almost wholly crocheted, as you can see below but I decided to put directions for both crafts in the pattern.

The pattern originated in my need for a case that would hold all supplies I need at work and at school. Later my mom got all excited and wanted a similar phone case. The pencil case is 8 cm wide and 20 cm long and holds two fountain pens, two pens, a rubber, a pencil and a marker easily. The phone case is 5,5 cm wide and 15 cm long.

The case is truly a piece of cake. The most tricky part is about the drawstring opening.
