Nothing says Halloween like a skull and crossbones motif so we made one for the bigger kids. The skull is worked in one piece using basic stitches and simple shaping and is definitely easier than it looks and we worked the crossbones in one piece as well. The pattern is written for 3 sizes from 1 year all the way to adult and is well suited to an intermediate beginner.

What you’ll need:

• 4.5mm/G hook
• worsted weight yarn
• circular work, simple shaping, basic stitches
