Pattern now includes two versions: the Skulls & Flowers Mittens and the Skulls Fingerless Mittens

Skulls & Flowers Mittens are fashioned with an allover skull pattern, a fitted cuff with flower motif, and gusseted thumb. The mittens pictured show the cuff stranded using three colors per row; there is an alternative chart for the cuff that calls for only two colors per row. Instructions are given for a rounded closure at the tips of the fingers, a more traditional mitten top (pictured), as well as an option for fingerless mittens.

Difficulty Level: Advanced/Intermediate: pattern uses i-cord cast on, increases, decreases, working from charts, knitting in the round, grafting, stranded knitting, and managing long floats.

Skull Fingerless Mitts are a variation on the Skulls and Flowers Mittens, worked at a larger gauge, over fewer stitches per row, and without the more advanced level knitting techniques.

Difficulty Level: Intermediate / Adventurous Beginner: pattern uses increases, working from charts, knitting in the round, and stranded knitting.
