We all love to see that beautiful garden so wonderful, so vibrant…. but wait!!! There is a weed …. and it looks like a SKULL! Well, weeds can be beautiful too. In this doily you will find my skull thistles that I planted for you to admire.

In this you will find some interesting double fpdc and even a cute little haystack stitch (that is what I am calling it). This pattern you will work behind some rows to give some of the flower petals some dimension.

I usually work this with size 10 cotton and a #2 hook. But feel free to size up or down to your thread. Finished pieced will be about 14 inch square.
