This is a very basic double crochet hat pattern. I have added a mesh bottom to my hat in order to eliminate bulk where I am adding the flowers and leaves. I also added a scalloped edge, but you can chose to change it as you wish. There are many other options you could elect to use after the crown section is completed.

Materials
Yarn = Hat – Worsted weight – I used Vanna’s Choice

Flowers and Leaves - Various worsted, novelty and sport weight yarns of your choice

Hook for hat = US “H” – 5 mm

Hook for flowers and leaves should match the yarn you use to get the look you want.

Any beads or other embellishments you may want to add
