Skvattram
Skvattram sweater is a simple but decorative design, knitted top-down seamlessly. The knitting only calls purls, knits and decreases/increases - so it is definitely beginner-friendly!
The sweater has a little collar with a rib pattern that continues in seams from the neckline, under the sleeves and along the sides of the body. The cuffs and hems are also made with the same rib pattern. The rib pattern is a simple two row repeat over four stitches – easy to memorize and made only from knits and purls! It is a simple raglan construction, with increases on each side of the raglan seams. If you prefer twisted stitches, you can add a twisted column in your pattern easily.
The pattern describes sizes XS to 2XL – but you can adapt your sweater to fit your shapes. Bust circumference measurements in cm are: XS (88), S (94), M (106), L (112), XL (117), and 2XL (128).
This pattern is developed for unspun yarn held single, or double if the yarn is very thin. An approximate yarn consumption (for Nutiden unspun yarn) is: XS-M (200-300 grams), L(300-400 grams), XL-2XL (400-600 grams). Note that this is depending on your knitting style and technique and how long you decide your sweater to be.
The design might work for other type of yarn as well, but try needles and yarns to get the gauge before you buy the pattern. Gauge for stockinette 10X10 cm is 16 stitches and 24 rows with needle 3.5 mm. You can of course you other needle sizes to get the gauge. But it is also important that the knitted fabric becomes the way you want!

Happy knitting!
