Skyward Unity
Taking some inspiration from ancient Egyptian and Art Deco wing designs and a prompt with the symbol of an X, Skyward Unity is an homage to my LYS and it’s TEN YEARS of strength in the community it has built. There are loads of references and symbolic “easter eggs” in this fun knit shawl.
Staying true to my deceivingly simple style of designing, the shawl allows the knitter to grasp onto a repeat and anticipate the coming rows with ease.
The design is worked worked in a three-part, modular fashion without seams or stitch pick-ups. Each section has short rows with color and texture changes.
