These are beginner-friendly patterns for the various ear shapes you may want on your beanie! I will be adding patterns to this list as I create them for the various ear shapes and updating this listing accordingly.

Current patterns available:
Wolf ear in bulky (weight 5) yarn
Rabbit/Puppy ear in bulky (weight 5) yarn
Cat ear (also works for ferret) in bulky (weight 5) yarn
Fox ear (also works for quokka) in bulky (weight 5) yarn

Rabbit/Puppy ear in medium (weight 4) yarn
Wolf ear in medium (weight 4) yarn
Cat ear (also works for ferret) in medium (weight 4) yarn
Fox ear (also works for quokka) in medium (weight 4) yarn

The ears are created separately from the beanie itself and then sewn on with a tapestry needle and the same yarn you used to create the beanie and the ears. Patterns are being created for both bulky/5 weight yarn and medium/worsted/aran/4 weight yarn. You should use the same yarn you used to make your beanie to create the ears! You can make any adjustments you’d like to these patterns, if you prefer a different type of ribbing or are using a different hook/needle size, or want the ears to be larger or smaller.
