Slalom Hat
This hat is a nice project for those new to cabling. You get lots of practice with the simple two stitch cables zig-zagging up and down the hat. Three sizes are available from snug fit beanie up to a big slouchy hat. Remember hats are supposed to fit snugly and these hats have lots of stretch, so choose a size smaller than your actual head circumference. The photos show how the small (green), medium (blue), and large (charcoal) hats fit on a 21” head for comparison.
Size: Small (medium, large)
Finished Size:
S: 16” child
M: 19” woman
L: 21” man
Samples were knit in Preciosa Tonal Worsted and Heartland.
One skein of either yarn is enough to knit any size hat with some leftovers.
