These mitts cause a stir wherever they go. They can be paired with the Slalom Hat for extra curvy coziness. One experienced test knitter called these “deceptively easy” but are straightforward by paying close attention to the notes.

This is nearly the same pattern as my “Rock Garden Mitts” but slightly reworked to match the Slalom Hat.

Gauge is extremely important to ensure a good fit. You may need to try several sized needles. Before blocking, I have 8 stitches/inch in stockinette which is relatively loose.

I find DPNs are the best method for these mitts. For picking up stitches, use a set of DPNs with a smaller gauge. Also needed - stitch markers and a yarn needle.
