Slanted Lace
Throughout my design career, I have successfully relied on the mantra of “Simplify and then Exaggerate.” This shawl is a good example of that: it is simple and it highlights an easy lace (Is it lace? Or really more of a yarn-over detail!) which is exaggerated in repeating slanted diagonal bands. Easy to make by an intermediate knitter, it can be varied by choice of yarn. For the sample, a luxury cashmere/silk blended yarn created a luscious and elegant shawl.
