This pattern is for a 1-piece sleeper that fastens at the neck. I have designed a few different options; it can be either footed, have long legs, have shorts, and be either short or long sleeved. You can work the sleeve, leg, and neck edgings in either a garter stitch or ribbing. It can fasten in front or back. I have also made the pattern in different torso lengths, between 4 and 5 1/2 inches, just to see how it fits various dolls. All of this is detailed in the pattern. The pink version has the longest torso, legs, and sleeves; the gray is in the middle and the shorts version has the shortest torso.

I worked on this pattern for a long time. I knew there had to be a way to make this without multiple pieces, but changing from the legs where the inseam is in the middle to the torso and sleeves where the seams need to be on the side took a little extra thought. I figured out a way that works; there are a couple of pictures on the pattern that show the switch of direction.

I used to knit with Caron Simply Soft Light, but it is becoming harder and harder to find. I have changed to Loops & Threads Snuggly Wuggly, because most Michael’s stores carry it in a wide range of colors. Each variation will require less than a skein. The yarn is stiffer to knit with, but becomes much softer after washing.
