Sleeping Baby Mouse
Preparing for Christmas can feel sometimes overwhelming, but the members of this mouse family will happily volunteer if you need help trimming the tree. Usually even the babies are eager to take part - but sometimes they get just as tired as we do and need a little nap…
Each pattern in the Christmas Mice collection has a cute mouse, and a Christmas ornament that can be used to decorate the tree on its own as well as together with the mouse.
Size
Curled up, the mouse is about 5cm (2”) long, and the wreath’s outside diameter is about 9.5cm (3 ¾”).
Tools and materials:
~ DK yarn in coat color (pale silver), pink, green and red
~ 2.75mm/C hook
~ size 8 pearl cotton embroidery thread in black (or use embroidery floss, 3 strands out of 6)
~ fiberfill stuffing
~ stitch markers, pair of scissors, pins, yarn needle
Difficulty
This pattern is suitable for intermediate level crocheters, who are confident with basic stitches (ch, sl st, sc, hdc, dc) and frequently used amigurumi techniques (invisible decrease, magic loop, working in FLO).
The pattern is written in English using US crochet terminology (UK/Aus equivalents provided). It contains many in-progress photos to help you crochet the mouse, but also includes a text-only appendix for easy printing, if you prefer working from a printed pattern but want to save ink and paper.
Finished amigurumi made from this pattern are yours to keep or gift or sell, I only ask you to credit me as the designer in case you decide to sell them.
