Description: Knit one (or two) star variations into a blanket using mosaic garter stitch! If you are good at keeping track--you might even try alternating both the “solid” and “ring” star versions within the same section repeat. Just one strand of color works every two rows while the other strand rests at the edge. Simple repeats allow you to customize the size. Gauge and dimensions are provided with a soft twist medium weight cotton. The sample blanket used less than 13 skeins of Debbie Bliss Pure Cotton (from 7 skeins of the main color and 6 skeins of contrasting color). Choose colors that contrast well. Try your camera’s “black & white” setting to look at your yarns in gray-scale and check the contrast between your selection(s). The pattern provides full written instructions with (optional) positive and negative charts.
