Sleepover
As a child I would sleep over at my grandparents whenever I could. They lived across the street so it was very easy to go there! I would have my own big bed and was allowed to stay up way later than I would be at home of course. These socks were made with sleepovers in mind. An easy memorizable cable chart, with rows of stockinette in between that give a bit of rest in between. So nice to work on when having conversations while having a sleepover or knit night.
My grandmother was a prolific knitter, she’d knit cardigans with lace and cables out of the top of her head, without a pattern at all. With this sock pattern I’m trying to capture her legacy. This pattern is launched in honour of her 90th birthday!
If you need to knit a smaller circumference, I recommend to use a smaller needle size and/or thinner yarn to knit at a tighter gauge.
