The yarns I have tested the most with it are red heart Super Saver and Bernat blanket yarns, but the pattern held up on Lions brand bonbons and Bernat velvet plus style yarns also.

The pattern is fairly small and quick but would be most suitable for advanced beginners or intermediate-level crocheters. I got a little creative with the techniques to keep this guy small!
