My four month old daughter sleeps in a baby sleeping bag but I found that her arms and especially her hands were freezing cold in the morning, so I decided to whip up a baby bolero to keep her warmer at night.

I plan to knit more of these for her throughout the winter, so by next summer I should be able to offer a full range of sizes from birth up to 12 months (at least that would fit my little girl, anyway!).

I’m not sure of the yardage required as I used a random yarn without a label in my stash, but it was only a relatively small amount, and barely dented the ball.
