Sleepy Socks
The idea for this pattern came up when I realized that I had used at least a half of yarn less than I wanted for my socks. I wanted long socks but ended up knitting a little above my ankle, because I seemingly didn’t have enough yarn.
50 grams of yarn is usually enough to make a knee length sock, so I recommend 100 grams for both. Notice that the needle size is pretty big here, 4,5mm, and that’s because Sleepy Socks are made to wear in bed. They’re not supposed to be as tight as regular socks, but rather more comfortable. Also, they knit up much faster.
I made this pattern with a specific complete beginner in mind, but also for intermediate knitters who are just starting to learn about provisional cast on or wraps and turns.
The socks are perfectly adaptable for every adult size.
The PDF pattern has 16 pages and some pictures to clarify the points. Video tutorials are also available.
