The Sleepy Time Boy and Friends blanket is a mini c2c blanket with a sleeping little boy and his wide awake pets, tucked neatly inside. This is written in US terminology, with step-by-step instructions and lots of pictures and helpful hints. Graphs and written instructions are included. While I do give instructions on decreases and color changes, I do not give basic mini c2c instructions. I do, however, include tutorial video links to help you learn this stitch.

If you prefer, you can make this blanket larger by using the standard c2c stitch and/or larger hook. This blanket can also be worked row-by-row, side-to-side, from the bottom up using a stitch of your choice.

I used 2 skeins of Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn! in Soft Blue and 1 skein in White. The characters are done with “scrap” Worsted Weight yarn (varying from approximately 5 to 13 yards each). I did find that the boy’s hat works best when made from a thinner yarn (I used Caron Simply Soft, and I believe a No. 3 baby yarn would be fine as well).
