Sleepy Time Safari Animal Blanket
The Sleepy Time Safari blanket is an adorable blanket featuring five Safari animals, tucked neatly inside their little bed (some sleeping, some wide awake). It is gender neutral and a perfect gift for any baby or child. This is written in US terminology, with step-by-step instructions and lots of pictures and helpful hints.
This blanket is made in rows, starting from the bottom, using the Basketweave, Suzette stitch, and Cluster stitch in addition to basic crochet stitches. I do not include written instructions for the Basketweave stitch, but do include a video link for it. Written instructions, pictures, and Youtube video links are included for other specialty stitches.
Included are written instructions as well as photos to crochet the Safari animals.
I used 3 skeins (plus a small part of a fourth skein) of Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn in Mild Green and 1 skein (and part of a second) in Ivory. . The characters are done with “scrap” Worsted Weight yarn (varying from approximately 5 to 13 yards each). While I did list the yarn I used, feel free to use any worsted weight yarn you have on hand in an appropriate color.
