It was surprisingly quick knit due to the simple textured stitch pattern. I took thin and cheap lace weighted yarn (50% Cotton, 50% Rayon) which has a wonderful shimmer.
You would need a yard of silk ribbon and basic skills in crochet to work out a shell border all the way around.
