The Slice of Citrus Coaster is the fourth coaster in my summer fruit series. This fun coaster set is worked seamlessly in the round, starting from the outer cast on edge, and decreasing to the center. The decreases are carefully placed to produce a circle. The lines that form the segments can be created while working the coaster by pulling up loops of yarn, or they can also be added after the coaster is completed using elongated duplicate stitches. Photo tutorials are included for both methods.
Knitting in the summer heat can be uncomfortable when your project is meant to be used in winter. This coaster is designed to be a quick summer project that can easily be completed on a warm evening. It is a great project to use up your cotton scraps. Make an orange slice, lime slice, lemon slice, and grape fruit slice. A quick knit that makes a great gift set!
