Slider is one of the most unique monsters out there - his arms and legs get shorter and longer!! That’s right - he’s adjustable! As of the date of this posting, he is the only knitted monster pattern on Ravelry (unless a monster escaped my one hour long search) that has that very special capability.

Knitted in sport weight yarn on US size 6 needles, Slider is about 6 inches wide, and 9.5 inches tall. His arms and legs, in the neutral position, are each 4 inches long (not counting feet or hands). But, his arms or legs can increase to become 10 inches long!!

I recommend knitting Slider in a yarn that has a tight ply. You’ll want to use a yarn that will hold up to having the arms and legs pulled and slid through the body. The arms/legs slide through a section that is seperate than the body stuffing, so you don’t have to worry about stuffling leaks or anything of that nature when the toy is played with.
