This is an easy beanie-style hat knit with alternating bands of stockinette stitch and a textured stitch formed with stitches slipped purlwise with the yarn held in front. The style is appropriate for either gender; just select your yarn color accordingly.

Size: Pre-teen to teen
The sample hat measures 8½” from top to bottom, and 16” around the bottom band (unstretched).

This hat can be knit in an adult size by increasing the number of cast-on stitches to 96.
