There are two gauges for the pattern. The first one is what is above: 22 sts = 4” in garter stitch. For the second one, work a gauge swatch using the slip stitch pattern according to the instructions. The unblocked swatch should measure 4¾“ wide and 3¼” high; the blocked swatch should measure 4¾“ wide and 3½” high.
