With spring just a few days off and summer on the horizon, I have chosen to do lighter knits. In this case, it’s a little shawlette that I can wear as an accessory or keep in my carry on when traveling.

Since I like symmetry, this is a triangle shawl. It is knit from the top down, increasing stitches at the end of each row. The pattern is a simple two row repeat which makes for a great travel project.

This little shawl has a rich textured look and feel, its what I love most about this pattern. On one side you have a simple slip stitch pattern and on the other a rib. The end result is that it looks a lot more detailed and complicated then it is.

This is a super easy scarf and one that I found very therapeutic to knit. It did not require any thinking on my part, or even counting. Sometimes you just need something that is that simple to work on!
