A pattern for intermediate knitters who want to try slip stitch color work, as well as those looking for interesting patterns sized for petite head sizes (18” hats). Instructions for 20” hats also provided.

Please feel free to play with this hat pattern and personalize it as you like. Gender neutral and customizable for larger sizes if you are willing to play with the math.

Two colors heavy worsted weight yarn with similar fiber content and washing requirements
Approximately 70-80 yards main color (MC) and 40-50 yards contrasting color (CC)

Knitting with Cascade 220 or Liberty Wool has a slightly smaller gauge (when I test knit this project), so if you would like to use those or similar yarns you may need to go up a needle size or otherwise adjust pattern.
