I wanted to design a vest that would be easy to make, easy to wear and would show off some beautiful variegated yarn.
The front cabled bands are knit at the same time as the body in this bottom up seamless construction.
The slip stitch pattern helps to break up any pooling of the variegated yarn and creates a subtle, flattering vertical line.
The I-cord cast on at the bottom edge and the I-cord bind off around the armholes gives a nice finished look, but push this relatively easy garment to the intermediate level.
he pattern includes waist shaping which is optional.

Included in the pattern are photos, a complete list of abbreviations, a stitch glossary and schematic.
