If you find yourself with amounts of thin mohair and thin wool or alpaca in your boxes, you can knit simple headbands with knot and a cowl to go with. There are quick projects and nice Christmas presents. Simple knot is stylish and reminds us of 1940s and 50s fashion with turban hats and headbands. You can also make a double twist.

The headband is knitted with 3 threads and the cowl with 2, as they are folded double anyway.

Use all types of thin alpaca and fine wool (gauge 23-28 sts = 10 cm) held together with all types of thin mohair: 2 strands of mohair and 1 strand of wool for the headband, and one of each for the cowl.
