Slipped Stitch Vest

Worked in one piece this versatile accessory is easy to knit and style. Starting with the front you slip stitches to create a simple texture in the fabric. The neck is then shaped in two stages before the piece is joined again for the back. This pattern guides you through the process of dividing and joining stitches to create a garment without also managing shaping.

Foundations: The first wobbly scarf you knit and knotted proudly around your neck to keep out the cold. The handmade mittens you wore as a child, a gift from a beloved relative. When we think about the hours spent making those items, we understand that they are an act of love. It’s the time you set aside for your own creativity that day. It’s the way you felt as your beloved pulled on your hat as they left for work that day. Each stitch, a hidden wish. The gift of handmade is at the core of our latest series of design collections. We named it ‘Foundations’ because these are the building blocks for a lifelong hobby in which we can clothe ourselves and our loved ones in beautiful colours and texture.
