Learn how to make warm, cosy handmade socks using the craft of crochet! Crochet Socks that look like they could be Knit!
The stitch pattern creates a thick, stylish texture.
Materials, tools:
Any yarn (I used Yarn Composition: 80%Acrylic, 20%Polyester;
Meters: 100g=250 meters, 100g/ball) - 80g, 200 meters for one sock).
Hook suitable for your yarn (I used 3 mm)
Techniques - basic stitches (US terms):
Slip stitch (sl st)
Half double crochet (hdc)
Size of the finished item:
The size of finished sock depends on the yarn and hook size. My sock:
Length - 35 cm (13.7 in); Width - 12 cm (4.7 in)
Gauge: 17 stitches and 15 rows in 4 inches
This socks size should fit comfortably for a foot 9-11.4 inches long, it’s pretty stretchy.
