Slip stitch knitting is an unexpected delight, a form of colorwork that looks complicated, but is very easy to achieve as there is no stranded colorwork knitting. Before starting the accessory, knit gauge swatches in both stockinette stitch and stranded colorwork to establish which needle sizes are needed, so that the correct finished measurements of the item can be achieved.

Once the correct size has been established, and which needle size will be used, highlight all the applicable numbers, sizes and measurements. This will make the pattern easier to read and will help avoid mistakes.

Slippt Hat is worked in the round from the brim to the crown, with alternatives for a folded, double-layer brim or single-layer ribbed brim. Slip stitches create a band of colorfully textured interest, and the crown is topped with an optional pompom.

Slippt fingerless mitts are worked in the round from cuff to fingers. The ribbed cuff transitions to slip stitch knitting, a thumb gusset is worked, and the mitts are finished off with another band of ribbing around the fingers.
