A beginner who can read and understand crochet abbreviations and knows how to increase and decrease, make a front post stitch amd back post stitch can make this slouch hat.

It appears advanced, but is rather simple. A symbol chart is also included for the crown section for the moon stitch.

Level: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate.

Stitches used: Single crochet, Double crochet. slip stitch,back post stitch, front post stitch, decreasing, increasing.

This Stylish Slouch Crochet Hat can be made in two sizes using a fingering weight medium yarn and a thick 4 ply medium weight yarn.

This hat has a Special stitch called the moon stitch. I have included photos of how this stitch is done so you will be able to accomplish it with ease. You can choose to omit this speicial stitch. Using this stitch has and gives the effect that you have leaves attached to the hat.

The band has the knit effect but is crocheted.

There are several ways to wear this hat, to the right or left side like a tam or beret, pulled forward and slouched at the back, or mid way on half of head. Your hair neatly tucked in underneath.

This hat takes approximately 7 ozs of yarn.

To make a childs size use a baby yarn.
