Inspiration:
I love spinning. Being new to the world of hand spun yarn, somehow, I defaulted to create a fingering double ply yarn. Very useful when creating a pattern for others to replicate.
Feel free to substitute my yarn with commercially produced, but I hope this inspires you to create your own colour combos.

I created this set of beanies to show off the yarn. Simple, effective pattern does just that. Its softness and coziness make you want to cuddle this fabric against your cheek.

Bonus * this stich pattern is reversible.

Sizes:
S, M, L Circumference 16, (18, 20) in; 41, (46, 51) cm; Height 11 in (28 cm)
Smallest size outside the brackets, consecutive sizes inside the parentheses.

Gauge:
28 sts/ 28 rows knitted in k1, p1 ribbing pattern in 4 in/10 cm square. Knitted using size 3 US (3.24mm) needles, and a tubular cast on.
Please take time to achieve gauge, adjust needle size as needed.

Yarn:
1. If you are interested in spinning your own, I recommend this shop for purchasing hand dyed combed roving. Katie dyes amazing array of gradients, in all different fiber content.
The one pictured, is a combo of merino and silk. Hand spun into fingering, double ply, 16 wpi. I spun approx. 270 m from a 4 oz braid.

  1. Single skein of complimentary coloured kid haze mohair (lace weight).

CC (contrast colour): Mohair/silk mix, held double. Knitted using the larger needles.
