This is a beginner friendly, super fast, gender neutral design hat that can be worn as a slouchy beanie or regular folded brim hat. This is the perfect introduction to hat making, and is a super quick make that is completely customizable in size.

Skill level: Beginner

Supplies:
Approx 150yd #5 bulky weight yarn (Scarfie, Color Made Easy, or Caron Latte cakes)
6mm crochet hook
Darning needle for sewing ends
Scissors
pompom (optional)

Stitches required:
ch, sc, blo, hdc

This pattern is written for an adult sized hat, with suggestions for alternate sizes in brackets for child and toddler sizes.
I recommend using the mattress stitch and have included a visual tutorial on how to complete it.
