The Slouchy Braid Hat was originally published in 2011 under the mantel of Cheryl Beckerich Knits. This version of the pattern, under Wise Owl Knits, is essentially the same pattern with just a few little tweaks. I have added a chart, so the pattern includes both written instructions for the cables as well as a chart.

The new version is knit with Yarn Bee Authentic Hand-Dyed Chunky from Hobby Lobby. Obviously, you can used any chunky yarn, or combinations of yarns that you would like, as long as you can get the gauge.
