This pattern inludes 2 patterns for hat and cowl.

This matching set’s cable pattern will keep you warm and looking cool. Both hat and cowl are totally unisex and may be used by most of your family because the pattern is written in four sizes from toddler to adult. The knitting will keep you on your toes as the cables weave and twist. Both pieces are knitted in the round, seamlessly. Both charted and written directions are included in the pattern, charts are separate for each size and start after ribbing part to the end (top) of hat.

after blocking and slightly stretched, for hat:
circumference – 19 (193/4, 201/2, 21)” / 48 (50, 52, 54) cm
heigth – 81/2 (9, 91/2, 10)” / 21.5 (23, 24.5, 26) cm

for cowl:
circumference – 19 (19, 241/2, 241/2)” / 48 (48, 62, 62) cm
heigth – 71/2 (8, 9, 91/2)” / 19 (21, 23, 25) cm

Skill level: intermediate and involves knitting and crochet skills.

Basic needs for pattern: Malabrigo Arroyo (100% merino wool) in plomo, approx 335 yds/3.5 oz (305m/100g) per skein or any other dk weight (# 3 light) yarn:
for hat:
approx – 148 (160, 180, 274) yds / 135 (145, 165, 250) m
for cowl:
approx – 130 (164, 230, 380) yds / 120 (150, 210, 346) m

Needles
size US 4 (3.5mm) US 6 (4mm) 24”- 26”circulars or longer circulars (if you prefer magic loop technique) or DPNs, adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
