This pattern is actually two patterns in one. A monkey pattern and a carry bag pattern which could be changed to a real carry bag for grown ups by enlarging your starting chain and your row count.

This pattern is inspired by one of the cutest little creatures I know: The Slow Loris. This is a monkey species that lives up in the trees and moves very, very slow. Unfortunately, their cuteness could be their downfall. People capture and trade them off to be held as pets. They are an endangered species because of that. They are not suited as a pet and their teeth are being pulled out because they have a venimous bite. So I say, leave the Slow Loris alone and create your own amigurumi monkey instead! The pattern I wrote will teach you some new techniques and will challenge your creativity. It’s suited for the advanced beginner.

Skills required: single crochet, half double crochet: double crochet, triple crochet, magic ring, increasing, decreasing.
