Slow Waves Shawl
Update: I added a video tutorial to help get you started. It is not a beginners video, but might be helpful as a backup to the written pattern:
Row 1-5
Row 6-9
Row 10-11
Row 12
This lovely lace shawl pattern has been hibernating for some time now. I do not have the time to go over all of my patterns as thoroughly as I would like, but hopefully you’ll be able to make one of your own, by following notes/ instructions.
I grew up on a farm near the “fjord”. I don’t know the right English word for this, but it is somewhere in between a lake and the sea, and I have always loved being near water. Experiencing the beauty of nature on close hold has brought a lot of treasured memories, that I still carry with me today. This pattern reminds me of fresh air and slow waves….
This pattern only uses (US terms)
Chains
Single Crochet
Treble Crochet
Gauge is not important. You can add as many rows as you would like.
Materials: I used lace weight yarn for the blue shawl and Sport/ Fingering weight for the grading.
It might take a little time to get into the pattern, but after row 9, the pattern basically repeats the stitch pattern from row 8-9 and then you can continue on for as many rows as you’d like :)
