Description
Sly the Fox Blanket is a graphgan made using the modern version of the C2C (Corner-2-Corner) crochet technique. Along with the colour chart and written instructions, the pattern includes cheat sheets explaining the C2C technique. The cheat sheets have links to ’How to“ videos on my YouTube channel for a further explanation about C2C, as well as, how to make butterfly bobbins that are useful for this technique.

My version of the fox motif, makes for an interesting zig-zag pattern on the blanket. There are 5 colours required for this blanket:

• Background, Colour A: 23.4 oz / 1,740 yd (661.4 g / 1591 m)
• Fox Motif, (2 colours) B & C: 4.5 oz/ 285 yd (127.5 g / 260 m) per colour
• Face, Colour D: 4.6 oz /249 yd (129 g / 225 m)
• Eyes & Nose Colour E: 1 oz / 50 yd / (28 g / 46 m)

Level - Intermediate
Basic stitches used are slip stitch, chain, single crochet, double crochet and colour changes are required. The pattern includes “How to Crochet C2C” instructions and there is a YouTube video to help those that are just learning this technique.

My Sly the Fox Blanket was given as a baby shower gift to a special friend but it is not just meant for babies. It seems that the fox motif has universal appeal. The blanket size makes it suitable as a lap blanket for kids of all ages.
