Description
Sly the Fox Stuffie was designed for a baby shower gift for a special friend to compliment Sly the Fox Blanket and Sly the Fox Hat (patterns sold separately) however, any child would be happy to snuggle this cute little fox or take it along on their adventures.

There are several different techniques used to make this amigurumi project which are all explained in detail in the pattern with written instructions and picture tutorials. There are also YouTube tutorials for additional explanation.

Size
From top of ears to tip of tail 18” (46.5 cm)

Level - Intermediate
The main stitch used is the x-single crochet, a version of a single crochet. The different techniques used are: the invisible xsc2tog, the invisible join, the slip stitch jogless colour change, and the invisible join/colour change, all well explained in the pattern notes. Most techniques also have YouTube video tutorials for additional instruction if needed.

Materials
5 colours of #4 medium weight yarn are required as follows:
Colour A - Pumpkin 220 yds / 200 m
Colour B - White 60 yds / 55 m
Colour C - Cornflower 11 yds / 10 m
Colour D - Mustard 5.5 yds / 5 m
Colour E - Black 32 yds / 29 m
Polyfill: 6 oz / 170 gm
4.5 crochet hook
Stitch Markers
Measuring tape
Tapestry needle
Scissors

It seems that the fox motif has universal appeal which makes it suitable for kids of all ages.
