A cute pattern for a mother hen, baby chick, a hatchable egg, and their nest!

Materials
Yarn: Size 4 yarn in chicken color, chick color, egg color, small amounts of leg and beak color, nest color, red, and black. I used Peaches and Cream or Lily Sugar ‘n’ Cream for most colors.
Hook size 3.5mm
Scissors
Yarn needle
Stitch marker

hdc - half double crochet
inc - increase (two sc in one stitch)
dec - decrease (take front loop of next two stitches, sc through those)
hdcinc - hdc increase
hdcdec - hdc decrease
Invisible finish - pull the thread through as though you were normally finishing, then loop through the next stitch with the needle so it looks like the stitches keep going.
BLO - back loop only
