Small Crown Keychain
This pattern, for a small crown keychain, includes lots of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in English, using American crochet terms. The pattern has been independently tested prior to publication.
You will need:
Yarn of your choice. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your project will simply turn out bigger or smaller! When using DK weight yarn with a 3mm hook, my finished crown measures 5cm tall and 4.5cm wide. When using chunky weight yarn with a 4.5 mm hook, my finished crown measures 7.5cm tall and 7cm wide (not including the keychain).
You will need the following colours:
Gold (approx 9.5m if you’re using DK yarn or 16m if you’re using chunky yarn)
Purple (approx 4.5m if you’re using DK yarn or 7m if you’re using chunky yarn)
White (approx 3.5m if you’re using DK yarn or 5.5m if you’re using chunky yarn)
Please Note = The amount of yarn used will vary according to yarn weight, hook size and stitch tension so these measurements are only a rough guide.
You will also need:
• A suitable sized hook for the yarn you have chosen. I used a 3mm hook with dk weight yarn and a 4.5mm hook with chunky yarn.
• A small amount of toy stuffing.
• As many sparkly buttons / beads / gems / decorations as you wish to decorate your crown with, and a similar gold colour or clear sewing thread with which to attach them.
• A keychain clasp - I use lobster clasps sourced on eBay.
• Other tools you will need are some scissors and a needle.
You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself. Feel free to contact me with any questions as I am more than happy to help. Thank you.
