This is a small version of a Goldfinch Cowl. It’s a quick one skein project, perfect for that one special skein of Aran weight you don’t quite know what to do with.

The cowl looks like a lace shawl but wears more comfortably. The buttons hold it in place and allow for a few look variations.

Techniques used are basic lace stitches (yo and k2tog), German short rows and applied edging.
