How adorable is this sweet little ostrich couple? They are a great size for little hands and work great in a full safari set. You’ve got to try making them! They’re quick and easy to work up and produce a wonderful result!

This fun set includes the patterns for both the boy and the girl ostriches. It includes lots of photos and instructions along the way.

Size
The Boy Ostrich is 5.25” from the tip of his feet to the top of his head (3.75” tall when sitting), and the Girl Ostrich is 5” from the tip of her feet to the top of her head (3.5” when sitting). Gauge is not important to this pattern. The size of your finished products will vary depending on the size yarn and hooks you use.
• Using thinner yarn and smaller hooks will yield smaller items. Using thicker yarn and larger hooks will result in larger items. An individual crocheter’s yarn tension can also be a factor in sizing as well.

Pattern Notes
The pattern is written for advanced beginner crocheters and beyond (mainly because of the type of terminology used). The advanced beginner is familiar with making amigurumi and understands basic amigurumi crochet terminology and stitches as well as how to sew pieces together, finish off, hide ends, etc. If you are not familiar with all the terms used in this pattern, there are a multitude of tutorials on You Tube that can help.
