I create my patterns with crochet in mind, being mindful of color changes, stitching, how the stitches will look on the finish product, and sizing. The yardage is just an estimate for one block. It will vary on type of yarn and how you crochet. To calculate how much yarn you will use, measure how much yarn you use for one stitch. I use about 1.8 for one TSS stitch. Take that number and multiply it by the amount of stitches. then divide that number by 36 and you will have how many yards you will need of that particular color The pattern will list how many stitches are for each color.

Get creative and alternate colors, put fancy boarders on, whatever you want! It’s your creation!
