These socks have been created to use up oddments and leftovers of sock yarn. They are fun and engaging to knit, with a very simple pattern to create a gently textured fabric which is comfortable and warm to wear. It does mean there will be ends to weave or knit in, because you start a new yarn for each band of smarties. If weaving in ends is not for you, it’s still possible to create a stunning pair of socks using just two contrasting colours.

The pattern is created in one size only, using 72 sts to fit an average to large woman’s foot. It would work well on smaller needles to create a smaller sock.
